Cue the Rain!

After sleeping soundly to the pitter patter of rain, we awoke to better weather and set out for our last full day in Kweelie. We stopped in one of the bigger towns for a macchiato and wifi and caught up with the rest of the world. We explored the rest of the town, soaking up our last day (and the rays of sunshine) before heading to the store for our farewell feast. We have such a bond with Kweelie now that we consider today to be the last “real” day of our vacation, thus going out with the bang of all bangs. The rain came down in droves on our way to the campsite, allowing us to take an outdoor shower in the rain but encouraging an earlier dinner. We feasted on roasted garlic potatoes, a medley of vegetables, blue cheese / egg / bacon burgers and to top it all off, champagne straight from the bottle. Quite a feast indeed!

We spent the evening reminiscing over our trip (and our lives) while cleaning off the bottle and moving on to finish the Bailey’s. We have been so lucky to have such an amazing trip and while we wish the trip wasn’t coming to an end, we are super excited to see our families and plunge back into the real world.
